Are you afraid of what’s going on with the economy? No need to be, it doesn’t have to evoke fear and keep you feeling like you’re being held hostage. Poverty and wealth are two sides of the same coin, they are the extremes on a continuum. You can choose to live with a state of mind that bolsters poverty or you can choose a wealthy, healthy mindset.
Look around you, do you see restaurants sitting empty, cars parked and off the roads, grocery stores and theatres empty? On the contrary, I go out quite often and I have never seen movie theatres more busy than now. I am still standing in line ups at restaurants and if you’ve ever travelled on a highway in Ontario you know that there is still and continues to be a mass exodus of people going on road trips every weekend or holiday.
Poverty is a state of mind. Granted we are seeing shut downs of primarily manufacturing jobs, but service industry jobs are stable if not on the rise. You can leave a job in one sector and work and thrive in another sector. One issue that seems to prevent people from doing that is their preconceived notions of what they can and cannot do. You have the ability to do whatever you set your mind to. Action may be required, so you may need some training in your new field or job but so what, that is what expansion of life is all about.
There may be fear and doubt behind the decisions that you make but remember if something feels uncomfortable that just means that you are stepping outside of your comfort zone. But you need to step outside your comfort zone if you are going to expand your life. Live with a mindset of wealth and that’s what you will create for yourself. I have learned to do that as well as being able to help others do it for themselves. It does work. You need to have faith in yourself and in the Universe to provide you with the tools you will need to move forward.
As my late father once said to me when I was young and clued out, “If everyone else jumped off a bridge, would you?” That’s when I knew that I could either march to my own drummer or become another drone. Think for yourself, build onto your dreams, and live life to the fullest. One thing for sure that will get you out of this economic downturn (if that’s your mindset, is to minimize or better yet, cut out completely, the negative messages you hear from the media about the economy. Refuse to entertain negative conversations or thoughts. Many people are thriving now, for a reason. They refuse to adopt an attitude of poverty and lack. What will you do?
